RIP-Kobe and His Team of Parents Pursuing MAMBA with the Kids

I think the message that broke my heart the most in that horrible helicopter crash was that everyone was full on committed to helping their children pursue their dreams. Pursue their dreams in the exact same ways that we all do every day.

My adult working son came home to get the Kobe picture I bought him over a decade ago. I learned from my doorman, how much Kobe meant to my boys. How they would argue over who was the greatest Michael Jordan or Kobe Bryant.

It was a grateful feeling to know that though I had no time to really know Kobe, I did foster my sons’ love for a true American folklore hero. They had the jerseys, watched the games, and got the coaching that taught them the importance of the process of basketball.  What gave me the greatest joy was knowing, that left to their own devices, my sons chose to be inspired by Mamba and his message of Faith, Hard Work, and Pride of Country.

No one can speak the actions or thoughts of Kobe Bryant better than Kobe, so these are my “don’t miss hearing with your kids” links.

Rest in Peace with Our Children Fellow Parents

We will always speak your names.
